Regional differential decomposition and the formation mechanism of the dynamic carbon emissions efficiency of industrial energy in China

Industrial carbon emissions efficiency requires a balance between economic development and reduction to be achieved through structural adjustment technological change, which is the key low-carbon essence of China’s commitment. Existing research has focused more on static emission provides insufficient analysis internal causes inter-regional differences in efficiency. This paper aims fill this gap existing research. The data 30 provinces China, obtained from Chinese Official Statistical Yearbook, were taken as sample. We accurately measured dynamic industrial energy (DCEEIE) China by combining three-stage slacks-based measure envelopment (SBM-DEA) model Malmquist-Luenberger model. study further uses Dagum’s Gini coefficient decomposition panel vector auto regression (PVAR) empirically estimate regional DCEEIE effects its structure. results show, first, that increasing, overall at high level. Second, total coefficients (EC), (TC) all decreasing; transvariation intensity main reasons for long-term gaps.
